The Defendingo app
- Defendingo records which programs on your computer use the network and who they connect to. This history is stored only on your computer and deleted automatically after 90 days.
- There is no account, no analytics and no telemetry. Your history and statistics are never uploaded.
- The dashboard only opens on your own computer. Other devices can't reach it.
- To name the servers your apps talk to, Defendingo reads your computer's own record of recent name lookups and may ask your normal DNS server for an address's public name. Your computer makes requests like this all the time.
- About once a week it downloads public lists of which addresses belong to Cloudflare, Amazon, Google and Fastly, to recognise their servers.
- About once a day it checks defendingo.com for a new version. The request only says which version you have. Like any internet request, our server sees your IP address while answering; it isn't stored. Updates are verified with a digital signature before they're installed.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no ads and nothing loaded from other websites.
- Our server doesn't keep logs of visitors or downloads.
- Like every website, our server sees your IP address while it answers a request. It isn't stored.
